BANGOR, Maine (AP) - A 9-year-old Maine boy fighting brain cancer has fulfilled his dream of becoming a firefighter with the help of a local fire department.
The Bangor Daily News reports members of the Newport Fire Department visited Brayson Dunton at the Northern Light Easter Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Saturday. Dunson is currently undergoing chemotherapy after having a tumor removed from his brain.
The firefighters gave the young patient a certificate and a shirt that recognizes him as a junior firefighter for the town of Newport. Crew members gave Dunton patches, along with presents.
