LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say a murder suspect shot an FBI agent in South Los Angeles before police returned fire, killing him.
Los Angeles police Detective Meghan Aguilar says the suspect quickly opened fire on a police task force trying to arrest him at a motel on Tuesday. An FBI agent suffered a non-life-threatening wound.
Aguilar says at least two officers returned the man’s fire, killing him at the scene.
She says the man, who was in his 70s, was wanted in a double-shooting on two of his cousins at a home in South Los Angeles on July 31. One of his cousins was killed while the other survived.
