Tony Finau will still play Masters after dislocating ankle celebrating ace

Tony Finau is good to go at August National.

The American golfer has been cleared to play the Masters after he briefly dislocated his left ankle celebrating a hole-in-one at the Masters Par 3 contest Wednesday.

Finau holed out on the par-3 seventh hole at Augusta Wednesday at the casual event and began backpedaling down to the green in jubilation. Fans at the hole and anyone watching on ESPN saw his ankle suddenly go sideways:

Tony Finau just:

• Sank a hole-in-one. 👍
• Celebrated accordingly. 😊
• Dislocated his ankle while celebrating. 😱
• Popped it back into place. 😳

But Finau popped his ankle back in and even played the next hole of the contest. 

Finau is scheduled to tee of at 12:43 p.m. Thursday in a threesome with Bernhard Langer and Yuta Ikeda.

Finau won his only PGA Tour event in 2016 at the Puerto Rico Open.
