Two old rivals have reunited for a Tuesday practice round at Augusta National.

Reports from the Masters say Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson teed off together on the 10th hole at Augusta for a Tuesday morning practice round.

Woods and Mickelson were joined by Thomas Pieters and Fred Couples, who also practiced with Woods Monday and said, “Today wasn’t any different than it was 10 years ago when we played.”

Woods is playing in his first Masters since 2015. He played in one PGA Tour event combined from 2016 to 2017, but has returned to form and garnered two top-five finishes already this season.

Mickelson was Woods’ most natural rival during the first several years of the latter’s dominance. Mickelson didn’t win a major until breaking through at Augusta in 2004. He now has three green jackets after adding Masters wins in 2006 and 2010.

Combined with Woods’s four Masters titles and Couples’ win in 1992, the trio has eight green jackets to their names.

The famous Masters par-3 contest is Wednesday and the first round begins Thursday. Golf fans can hardly wait for this “tradition unlike any other.”

Sergio Garcia is the defending Masters champion, but Jordan Spieth is the betting favorite to win. Bovada has Spieth as a plus-900 favorite, with Woods somewhat further behind at plus-1400, while sportsbook.ag has Spieth and Woods as co-favorites at plus-1000.
