RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a man died in a house fire in Richland.
The Tri-City Herald reports an elderly man was found inside the home by firefighters on Monday.
Richland Fire Chief Tom Huntington says people saw smoke and flames at the house and that a neighbor suffered smoke inhalation trying to get inside.
Huntington says firefighters had to knock down the fire before they could enter the house because the only entrance was blocked from the inside.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
