Area police probe prompts suburban NY schools closing

IRVINGTON, N.Y. (AP) - Schools have been closed for the day in a Westchester County village because police have been conducting a search in the area.

The Journal News (https://lohud.us/2f9neSN ) says police did not immediately provide details of the investigation Friday in Irvington.

Westchester County police say they sent a helicopter to help with the Irvington police investigation.
