ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies say they’ve found the body of a missing North Carolina woman.

Sheriff’s deputies told local media outlets that they found the body of 27-year-old Glorika Townsend of Rocky Mount near U.S. 64 in Nash County on Monday evening. Townsend had been reported missing Thursday. Her abandoned car was found in a Rocky Mount restaurant parking lot earlier Monday.

Deputies have not said how Townsend died. Sheriff Keith Stone said the death is being investigated as a homicide.



Deputies said one person is in custody. The person’s name has not been released.
