FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - Five candidates have been invited for campus interviews this month for the job of president at Fairmont State University.

The university announced the candidates Tuesday.

In March, following a lawsuit filed by two professors over the Board of Governors’ selection process, the board hired a search firm to broaden the pool of candidates. Three finalists had been announced in February. They are not among the five candidates announced Tuesday.

The five are West Virginia University community relations specialist Rocco Fucillo, former Johnson and Wales University Charlotte campus president Robert Mock, Athens State University President Robert Glenn, Fairmont State business school dean Richard Harvey and former Fort Hays State University President Mirta Martin.

The campus interviews will be held starting Sept. 18.

Maria Rose retired as Fairmont State president in June.
