MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A pregnant woman has been shot to death and police in South Carolina say her baby did not survive.

Myrtle Beach Police Capt. Joey Crosby said in a statement that the shooting happened shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday.

Officers found a pregnant woman in the back seat of a car that crashed into a light pole near a park. She was taken to a hospital where she died.



Michelle McSpadden with the Horry County Coroner’s Office said the woman’s baby was delivered after the shooting but did not survive.

The victim was 22-year-old Jadasia Monique Myers of Myrtle Beach. Her daughter was to be named Harmony.

No arrests have been reported.
