New Orleans police investigating after man hurt in shooting

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a man has been injured after a shooting near a playground.

Police told NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune that the victim was shot Sunday night in the Gert Town neighborhood. The shooting occurred at an intersection adjacent to the Norwood Thompson Playground.

The man was taken to a local hospital with his injuries not immediately known.
