CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming police are investigating an explosion from a small, homemade device in a downtown Cheyenne alley.

Cheyenne Police Officer Kevin Malatesta says the incident occurred about 10 a.m. Monday and involved a device similar to a pipe bomb.

Malatesta says nobody was injured and no property was damaged. No arrests have been made.

The area where the device exploded is behind a corrections halfway house, but Malatesta says it’s too early to say what the intentions were of whoever is responsible.
