TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Human remains found in a burned SUV in Mississippi were from a man who had been reported missing.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that DNA testing was done at the state Crime Lab. The remains were those of 33-year-old Jay C. Hill, the son of a Corinth alderman.
The younger Hill, known as “Mac,” had been living in the Tupelo area and was reported missing in early August.
On Aug. 18, a farmer looking for a lost cow in a rural area discovered a burned Lincoln Navigator with human remains inside.
