BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo and Rochester are uniting to try to woo Amazon to upstate New York.

Economic development officials from both cities announced a collaboration Thursday in pursuit of Amazon’s second North American headquarters.

Invest Buffalo Niagara and Greater Rochester Enterprise say the combined Buffalo and Rochester corridor contains several excellent site options, a low-cost operating environment and talented labor pool.

Seattle-based Amazon plans to build a second headquarters that employ 50,000 people. It issued a request for proposals last month.
