SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Winter has come early to the Spokane region.

The National Weather Service says 3.2 inches of snow fell at Spokane International Airport on Sunday, a record for Nov. 5. The previous record was 1.9 inches in 2013.

The Spokesman-Review says cold temperatures made for extremely icy driving conditions on Monday morning, with numerous slide-offs.
