VAIL, Colo. (AP) - Vail Resorts officials say they are pushing back the opening day for Vail Mountain to Thanksgiving due to lack of snow.

The Vail Daily reports it’s the second year in a row that the opening of Vail Mountain has been delayed.

Officials say Beaver Creek will still open Nov. 22.

The mountain operation team on Vail Mountain has been working on making snow on the Simba and Born Free runs, but officials determined that without natural snow, it would not be enough.
