PHOENIX (AP) - Bond has been set at $50,000 for a Chandler man accused of manslaughter in a hit-and-run accident.
Kinton Robert Bruce had his initial court appearance Monday in Maricopa County Superior Court. He doesn’t have a lawyer yet.
The 27-year-old Bruce was arrested Saturday night and jailed on suspicion of manslaughter, hit-and-run and two counts of endangerment.
Chandler police say Bruce’s car allegedly ran a red light and triggered a three-vehicle accident that injured a woman who later died at a hospital.
They say Bruce’s vehicle rolled several times and he fled the scene before being arrested about a mile from the scene.
Police say Bruce was given a field sobriety test by responding officers who saw signs of alcohol impairment.
