LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas former security guard was sentenced to prison for sexual assault charges.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2phlWYg ) 48-year-old Jerry Johnson received a 10 year to life prison sentence Friday. He was accused of sexually assaulting two women at a hotel.
Both women filed charges against Johnson in 2009.
Johnson’s attorneys claimed he had been falsely accused twice. A trial declared Johnson guilty of sexual assault in February, but acquitted him for the other charge. Prosecutors say DNA evidence collected from one of the cases was used to convict Johnson.
