CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Heavy rain is on its way to New Hampshire.
After some light showers Friday, steady rain is expected late in the day Friday and into the evening in the southeastern part of the state. The forecast calls for up to 1.5 inches of rain.
The rain comes as the U.S. Drought Monitor reports that New Hampshire is out of last year’s drought. Areas from Sullivan County southeast through the southern quarter of the state are considered abnormally dry.
Temperatures Friday are expected to remain in the 40s and 50s.
Showers are expected through the weekend, with temperatures getting up into the 60s.
