TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama forward Braxton Key is returning for his sophomore season.

Key announced the decision on Twitter Tuesday after considering turning pro. He had declared for the NBA draft but didn’t hire an agent.

Key wasn’t among the 67 players invited to the NBA draft scouting combine.

He led the team in scoring as a freshman, averaging 12.0 points while ranking second in rebounding and assists. His numbers climbed in Southeastern Conference games, where he averaged 14.0 points and 6.1 rebounds.

He made the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team.
