STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man who was hit and killed by a car while riding a motor scooter in Connecticut.

Police said Tuesday that Idis Wilson faces charges that include negligent homicide and reckless driving in the February crash that killed 47-year-old Richard Rodriguez. He was ordered held on $15,000 bond. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.

Police say the 27-year-old Wilson was driving about 59 mph in a 25 mph zone when he hit the scooter in Stratford. Rodriguez was seriously injured and later died at Bridgeport Hospital.
