GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Greeley Police Chief Jerry Garner says officers believe they know who murdered a 12-year-old girl in 2010.

The Greeley Tribune reported (https://bit.ly/2qFnUDX ) Thursday that detectives are putting together the evidence to prove who killed Kayleah Wilson.

Wilson had been on her way to meet a friend at a mall when she disappeared. Almost two months later, her body had been found in an irrigation ditch.

Wilson’s boyfriend had been convicted of sexual assault after her body was found, but he won an appeal and the charge was dismissed.
