Dragway, attorney general’s office, reach settlement

EPPING, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office has reached a settlement with New England Dragway in Epping over wetlands violations.

Christopher Aslin with the attorney general’s office tells New Hampshire Public Radio (https://bit.ly/2pXfhCy) that the majority of the $250,000 will be waived because the company self-reported the violations. The company plans to pay $100,000 over five years.

At issue were alterations the dragway made to several acres of wetlands during an upgrade in 2012. The dragway later realized that it made the alterations without the required permits. It has since restored the majority of the affected wetlands.
