PINKHAM NOTCH, N.H. (AP) - Summer’s just around the corner, or is it?

Authorities say the Mount Washington Auto Road was closed Monday after the highest peak in the Northeast picked up more than a foot of snow during a storm Sunday. The summit is at 6,288 feet.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2qJXtjx) crews planned to reassess whether the road can open Monday afternoon.

After a chilly start, temperatures are expected to warm into the 80s for most of the state by Thursday.
