COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - Two Mississippi political leaders are addressing graduating students at the Mississippi University for Women.
Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves is speaking to students receiving nursing and speech language pathology degrees on the Columbus campus Saturday morning. The Republican has been elected twice as lieutenant governor, after serving two terms as state treasurer.
State Sen. Sally Doty is speaking Saturday afternoon to students receiving degrees in arts and sciences, business, education and human sciences. A Brookhaven Republican, Doty graduated from The W in 1988, where she was elected student government president.
MUW is presenting degrees to almost 400 students.
