MIAMI (AP) - The first tropical storm of the Pacific hurricane season has dissipated after weakening into a tropical depression.

The National Hurricane Center in Mimi on Thursday downgraded Adrian’s status to a remnant low and said it would issue no more advisories.

Adrian’s maximum sustained winds near midday were 30 mph (45 kph).

It was centered about 350 miles (565 kilometers) south-southeast of Salina Cruz, Mexico, and was moving northwest near 7 mph (11 kph).

Forecasters expect additional weakening in the next 48 hours.
