CENTRAL

BELTON: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 0.67’ high. Black bass are fair on watermelon Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on light blue jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs, shrimp, and stinkbait at night. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines and throwlines baited with live perch.
BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.38’ high. Black bass are fair on Brownwood craw jigs, watermelon spinnerbaits, craw colored crankbaits, and chrome/blue Rat-L-Traps along the shorelines. Hybrid striper are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies, Rat-L-Traps, and shad crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs over brush piles. BUCHANAN: Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 1.99’ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin JDC Craws, jerkbaits, and chartreuse Whacky Sticks in 12-20 feet. Striped bass are fair trolling crankbaits and striper jigs, and drifting live bait in 20-30 feet. White bass are fair on Shad Raps, Pirk Minnows, and live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in 12-15 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.62’ high. Black bass are fair on watermelon Curb’s hair jigs, JDC drop shot worms, and jerkbaits along break lines and ledges. Striped bass are fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
COLEMAN: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 0.13’ low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on watermelon red and redbug Carolina rigged soft plastics spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps off deep points. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and stinkbait.

AMISTAD: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 20.72’ low. Black bass are good on crankbaits, jerkbaits, soft plastics, and jigs. Striped bass are fair on slabs, small crankbaits, and minnows. White bass are good on slabs, small crankbaits, and minnows. Crappie are fair on live minnows up Devil’s River. Catfish are fair on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on liver and shad near the pier. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and cut bait near the dam. Blue catfish are good on cut bait in 15-20 feet.
CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits in reed beds. Striped bass are good on chartreuse spoons and jigs near the crappie wall. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are very good on liver, shrimp, and bloodbait near the railroad trestle. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 20.04’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and heavy jigs in grass. White bass are good on minnows and spoons. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and live perch. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLETO CREEK: Water murky; 81 degrees at the hot water discharge, 68 degrees in main lake; 0.46’ low. Black bass to 9 pounds are excellent on crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 6-8 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs in 8-10 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on live perch and shad in 8-10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
FALCON: Water murky; 67-71 degrees; 30.24’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon Brush Hogs, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp, stinkbait, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. SOUTHEAST
CONROE: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.01’ high. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, cut bait, and frozen shrimp.
GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on shrimp, cut bait, and nightcrawlers.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 0.22’ high. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on June bug red soft plastics in 12 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows near the dam, from piers, and near the pump station. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with perch and shad.
LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.12’ high. Black bass are good on green pumpkin crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shad and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 1.46’ low. Black bass are good on Carolina rigged green pumpkin soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. PANHANDLE
GREENBELT: 30.95’ low. Black bass are fair on shallow running crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows.
MACKENZIE: 73.92’ low. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
MEREDITH: 60.35’ low. TPWD has begun restocking the lake with Walleye. Reports of black bass are rare. No reports of smallmouth bass. Bream and channel catfish are being caught in good numbers.
PALO DURO: 58.63’ low. No report available.
WEST
ALAN HENRY: Water clear on the main lake, stained toward the river; 60 degrees; 1.65’ low. Black bass are good on shakyheads with trick worms, 7” Power Worms, swim jigs, medium and deep diving crankbaits. Crappie and bass are good on minnows. Catfish are excellent on rod and reel with cut bait and punchbait on baited holes.
ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 55-61 degrees; 0.2’ low. Black bass are fair on finesse jigs, Texas rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
COLORADO CITY: 13.2’ low. No report available.
FT. PHANTOM HILL: Water murky; 57-62 degrees; 0.31’ high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, drop shot rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits with a Colorado blade. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 56-62 degrees; 0.19’ low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs, chatterbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
NASWORTHY: 57-63 degrees; 1.6’ low. Black bass are fair to good on jigs, Texas rigs and DT10s. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
OAK CREEK: Water stained; 56-62 degrees; 8.05’ low. Black bass are fair on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on chartreuse (use Worn-Glo) nightcrawlers.
O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 55-61 degrees; 32.99’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, swimjigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.
POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 55-62 degrees; 0.04’ low. Black bass are fair to good on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair on live minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers.
SPENCE: 49.82’ low. No report available.
STAMFORD: 0.5’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. White bass are fair to good on minnows and Rooster Tails. Blue catfish are fair to good on cut and live bait.
SWEETWATER: Water off color; 57-63 degrees; 22.3’ low. No report available.
WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 55-62 degrees; 19.55’ low. Black bass are very slow (the bass population was greatly reduced during the drought). No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
COASTAL
NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies and in the river on shad. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.
SOUTH SABINE: Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Lighthouse Cove on topwaters. Redfish are good around pods of shad.
BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.
TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on MirrOlures and Corkies. Waders have taken better trout on the shell along the east shoreline. Redfish are fair to good on shad at the spillway.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good on the south shoreline on MirrOlures and She Dogs. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.
TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair on reefs on live bait. Redfish are good in Moses Lake on shrimp and crabs. Black drum are good in the channel on crabs.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.
FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Black drum are good at the jetties on cracked blue crabs.
EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.
WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics and live shrimp. Black drum are fair to good at the jetty on crabs.
PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are good on topwaters over grass in waist-deep water in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp.
ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good in Morris-Cummings Cut on free-lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp.
PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good at East Flats on shrimp. Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum are good in the Humble Channel at night on crabs and table shrimp.
BAFFIN BAY: Trout are good in grass and rocks on Corkies and topwaters. Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp.
PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes.
SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp and Gulps under popping corks. Black drum, redfish and sheepshead are good at the jetty on shrimp.
PORT ISABEL: Trout are fair to good around bars and guts on live shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair at Three Island on small topwaters and soft plastics under rattling corks.
