Boomerang, a cable network that brings viewers classic cartoon programs, announced it will be unveiling a streaming-video app this spring, USA Today reported Tuesday.

The app will first only be available on iOS and Android platforms, but it will eventually be rolled out for Apple TV and other over-the-top services for U.S. customers, USA Today said.

On an FAQ page at its website, the Time Warner-owned network says that all of the episodes that will be featured on the ad-free app “are pre-screened to make sure they’re age appropriate. Boomerang is fun for the whole family!”

“Popeye,” “Scooby-Doo” and “Tom & Jerry” are among the beloved toons to be featured on the app, with other classics such as “The Jetsons” and “The Flintstones” to be added as well, according to the network. In addition, Boomerang will “roll out exclusive, new shows” in the near future, the company said on its website.

The app, which will have a different content mix than what is broadcast on Boomerang’s cable channel, will cost subscribers $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Subscribers will also get a free trial week to try the service without being charged.
