PLAINFIELD, Vt. (AP) - A river search for a Vermont woman who disappeared following a crash in Plainfield has been suspended indefinitely.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2mdV2lF ) state police on Sunday called off the search for 29-year-old Krystal Bailey, of Barre (BAYR’-ree), until water levels fall later this spring.

Bailey was a passenger in a car that went out of control and hit a guardrail on Feb. 26.

State police say rescue crews saw the driver and Bailey walk away from the scene. The driver was located a short time later on the bank of Plainfield’s Great Brook. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Troopers say evidence indicates Bailey was unable to get out of the water. Several personal items belonging to her were found in the water.
