BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is urging farmers and ranchers in northeast and north central North Dakota to monitor for flooding in the coming days.

Rivers and streams in the region are expected to crest this weekend. National Weather Service data indicate snowmelt with a significant rain event could create overland flooding or river and stream flooding.

Goehring is encouraging agricultural producers to prepare for that possibility, keeping in mind that some roadways might also flood.
