FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are warning of icy and slick conditions on Interstate 40 between Flagstaff and Williams in northern Arizona.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says there have been several collisions with minor injuries on I-40 in that area Friday morning and that road and weather conditions may have been contributing factors.

Westbound I-40 was closed between Williams and Flagstaff for a brief period Friday morning.

The National Weather Service says scattered rain and snow showers will continue in much of northern Arizona through Friday and overnight, with snow levels as low as 4,500-5,000 feet.
