PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on a dead body found in car trunk (all times local):
11:45 a.m.
Phoenix police are trying to locate two people who were in a car that was found burning with a dead body in the trunk.
Sgt. Vince Lewis says the incident began early Thursday morning when police responded to a call in northeast Phoenix about a person who threatening someone with a gun.
Lewis says the officers later spotted the car involved in the incident at a service station but that it drove off after officers tried to pull it over.
He says officers again located the vehicle, finding it off the roadway and on fire and. He says the two occupants had run off.
The unidentified dead person’s body was discovered after firefighters extinguished the fire.
Lewis says police continue to investigate.

He says officers again located the vehicle, finding it on fire and that the occupant or occupants had fled.
The unidentified dead person’s body was discovered when the fire was put out.
Lewis says police continue to investigate and that no additional information is immediately available.
