SHANNON, Miss. (AP) - A man is facing charges in a shooting that injured one person at Shannon trailer park.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (https://bit.ly/2nDxUh1) reports that 35-year-old Maurice Moses Johnson of Okolona was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a felon and violation of probation following the shooting on Monday afternoon.
Shannon police say officers were called to the scene, where witnesses say two men got into an argument. They say one pulled out a gun and started firing shots, striking the other in the leg.
Police say that man, 22-year-old Dewan Woodard, had to undergo surgery to have the bullet removed from his calf. His condition is unknown.
It’s unclear if Johnson has an attorney.
