Luke Maye was on top of the world Sunday night, hitting a game-winning jumper with 0.3 seconds remaining as North Carolina defeated Kentucky 75-73 in the South Regional final in Memphis, Tennessee, to advance to the Final Four for the second straight season.
He finished with a career-high 17 points, well above his season average of 5.8 points per game.
He certainly celebrated with his teammates following the big win. But by Monday morning, Maye was back attending his 8 a.m. class in Chapel Hill.
UNC student Jack Sewell tweeted out a video of Maye sitting in the front row of his Business 101 lecture, still wearing his Final Four hat from the night before. He received a standing ovation.

The term “student-athlete” is used ad-nauseam by the NCAA when describing its players, but Maye appears to be taking it to heart.
The Tar Heels face Oregon in the national semifinals Saturday night in Phoenix.
