GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) - Grand Canyon visitors will face daily closures of the North Kaibab trail at Redwall Bridge starting on Monday as crews remove debris from a storm-caused rockslide.

Grand Canyon National Park says that the rockslide damaged a portion of the North Rim water supply line that runs close to the trial. But crews first have to clear and stabilize the remaining rock and debris before they’re able to fix the pipeline.

The damaged water line isn’t affecting the South Rim or Phantom Ranch operations.

The North Kaibab trail at Redwall Bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily for about three weeks, although the park says that could change depending on the weather and resources.

The Redwall Bridge is 2 ½ miles above Manzanita rest area.
