SPOTSYLVANIA COURTHOUSE, Va. (AP) - Two men have been charged in the shooting death of a young woman whose body was found inside a vehicle two years ago in Spotsylvania County.
News outlets report 29-year-old Joshua Williams and 28-year old Johnathan Vejarano were charged on Monday with multiple offenses including first-degree murder following the 2015 shooting death of 21-year-old Heather Ciccone.
Authorities say they were alerted when a resident reported an unfamiliar car was parked in his driveway. Ciccone was found shot to death inside her car.
Authorities haven’t said whether the suspects knew Ciccone.
Court records show Williams and Vejarano were both in custody on unrelated charges.
It’s not clear if either Williams or Vejarano has an attorney.
