Vermont holds meeting on management of wildlife area

RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - Vermont is holding a public meeting on the future management and use of a wildlife management area in Castleton.

The nearly 1,300-acre Blueberry Hill property is owned by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.

It’s currently managed for conservation of both fish and wildlife.

The meeting takes place March 29 at the Rutland district office of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. The meeting will consist of stations staffed by state biologists and foresters that will display resource inventory findings, maps and educational information.

Department staff will answer questions and listen to comments on the wildlife management area.
