TROY, Ore. (AP) - All roads into the popular steelhead fishing destination of Troy, Oregon, are impassable or nearly so.

The Observer newspaper reports (https://is.gd/Mp89rl ) the Grande Ronde River flooded its banks below Troy and the low areas on the Promise Road between Wallowa and Troy are covered in water.

Chairwoman Susan Roberts of the Wallowa County board of commissioners says the route into Troy from Flora is also a mess, and discouraged anyone from using it.

Heavy rain and warmer temperatures caused the flooding in northeast Oregon.
