PHILADELPHIA (AP) - There are school delays and closings one day after a late-winter storm roared across Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia public schools are opening on time Wednesday but Pittsburgh schools are operating on a two-hour delay.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike has lifted truck and trailer restrictions along with a 45 mph speed restriction on the Northeastern Extension.
Plows and salt spreaders are out on the state’s highways. Motorists will find in slow-going on local roads.
Monroe County saw the most snow, with 2 feet in Mount Pocono.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of eastern Pennsylvania. Forecasters say up to 2 inches of snow and blowing snow are possible. Wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible.
