TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Scattered light snow continues to fall across New Jersey as residents continue to dig out from a nor’easter that brought snow, powerful winds and heavy rain to the state.

The snow wasn’t creating any major travel problems Wednesday night. But motorists are still being urged to be cautious because of the possibility of black ice.

Utility crews also remained out in force, working to restore service to the roughly 1,000 homes and businesses that were still without electricity Wednesday night.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for northwest New Jersey, which got the brunt of Tuesday’s storm.

Residents also were dealing with cold temperatures and gusty winds that were creating single-digit wind chills.
