EMERYVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have identified a mysterious bicyclist as the suspect in a fire that gutted an unfinished $35 million building complex in Emeryville.

The San Francisco Chronicle (https://bit.ly/2r7L4q2 ) says authorities on Thursday released grainy surveillance camera photos of a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a backpack as he rode near the building on May 13.

The developer says he somehow got past two armed guards and a dozen surveillance cameras.

The fire near the city’s border with Oakland was the second arson blaze to gut the half-finished retail and apartment complex in 10 months.

Authorities didn’t name the biker as a suspect in the first fire or suggest a motive for the arson attacks.

Rewards totaling $100,000 are being offered for information leading to arrests in both fires.
