DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - Detroit police officers are swapping out their badges for softball mitts during the department’s annual intramural tournament.
The opening ceremony is scheduled Saturday morning at Rotunda Fields in Dearborn.
The event is a three-game guarantee, double-elimination tournament that aims to boost morale and build comradery.
Current, former and retired Detroit police officers are participating.
