GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - University of North Dakota head men’s basketball coach Brian Jones has signed a four-year contract extension.

The deal announced by Athletic Director Brian Faison on Thursday keeps Jones as the coach through the 2020-21 season. He’ll be paid a base salary of $140,000 per year.

Jones ranks fourth on UND’s all-time wins list with 166 as he enters his 12th season as head coach. Last season, he led the Fighting Hawks to their first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.
