ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 64-year-old man with a recent history of violent behavior has been charged with fatally stabbing a man in Albany last weekend.
Albany police say Tuesday that Richard Quinn was arrested Monday evening in connection with the slaying of 47-year-old Mark Douglas.
Police say Douglas was stabbed in the torso during a dispute on an Albany street around 1 a.m. Sunday. The Albany resident later died at a hospital.
Quinn, also an Albany resident, was charged with second-degree murder. His public defender couldn’t be reached for comment on the charges.
Police say Quinn’s previous recent run-ins with the law include an arrest in September for assaulting a man and woman in Albany. He was sentenced to probation. He was charged in March with menacing a woman with a knife and again put on probation.
