WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) - Four former Arkansas day care workers charged in the death of a 5-year-old disabled boy who was left in a hot van have been released from jail on bond.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2rRdsrX ) reports that Kendra Washington, Pamela Lavette Robinson, Felicia Ann Phillips and Wanda Taylor were released Monday on $20,000 bonds each. The former employees of Ascent Children’s Health Services facility are charged with felony manslaughter.

Authorities say a 5-year-old boy was left strapped in a car seat in the back of the facility’s 15-passenger van the morning of June 12. He was found dead in the vehicle later that afternoon.

The facility fired the four women last week.

The women are scheduled for a plea hearing July 31 in Crittenden County Circuit Court.
