CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - City officials in Cheyenne say they might seek federal disaster assistance funds to help clean up branches knocked down by a snow storm.
Wyoming’s capital city got more than 3 feet of wet snow May 18-19.
Many trees had already leafed out. The heavy snow brought down trees and tree branches all over town.
Mayor Marian Orr tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle (https://bit.ly/2rzYEBE ) cleanup will probably continue for three to four more weeks.
She says the city may be eligible for up to 75 percent federal reimbursement of the cleanup costs.
