BOISE, Idaho (AP) - An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography in Idaho’s U.S. District Court.
Acting U.S. Attorney Rafael Gonzalez said in a prepared statement that 27-year-old Nickolas James Parnell entered the guilty plea on Tuesday as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Parnell lived in Boise, Idaho in May of 2016 when FBI agents searched his home and seized laptop computers and DVDs. Investigators said they found more than 5,000 photos and more than a dozen videos containing child pornography. Parnell later moved to Medford, Oregon.
Parnell faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on Sept. 1.
