RIGGINS, Idaho (AP) - The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office says it has found a medical item belonging to a 54-year-old Boise man who went missing June 29.
The office said late Saturday that someone found a medical item belonging to John “Randy” French about five miles north of Riggins on the bank of the Salmon River. His family confirmed it was his.
Authorities are focusing search efforts in an area between the Lake Creek Bridge and Fiddle Creek.
French went fishing in the Riggins area in Idaho County June 29. He was expected home July 1 but never arrived.
Authorities say he was last seen in the parking lot of a Riggins motel. There were reports that he seemed confused and disoriented and may have been suffering a health issue at that time.
