ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Storms packing heavy rains have left roads flooded across Indiana.
Indianapolis television stations showed high water complete covering the four-lane divided highway U.S. 31 in Tipton County north of Indianapolis Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service says many locations across Hamilton, Madison and Delaware Counties received 2 to 3 inches of rain.
The weather service says nearly 3 inches of rain also fell in northern Indiana’s Kosciusko County and in adjacent Marshall County, the Emergency Management Agency reported widespread flooding.
Friday’s flooding came a day after heavy rains inundated the Anderson area. The Herald Bulletin reports firefighters in rubber boats rescued two dogs and a kitten.
