Firefighters battle lake house fire

READFIELD, Maine (AP) - Fire officials in Maine are investigating a blaze that damaged a lake house.

The Kennebec Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2sE3xv2 ) firefighters responded to a call about a house fire on Maranacook Lake in Readfield around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze. Central Maine Power Co. also responded to the emergency.

Firefighters contained the fire by 6:45 p.m. No injuries were reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
