MEXICO CITY (AP) - Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda has joined Mexican club Pachuca, a deal that club president Jesus Martinez says is “the largest” in the club history.

He did not give details on the terms of the contract or the length.

Honda joins Pachuca from AC Milan. Honda has also played with CSKA Moscow, VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands, and Nagoya Grampus in his native Japan.

Honda also played for Japan in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
